Medical Disclaimer

Last updated: September 26, 2026

Everything published on femglowhealth.com is general nutrition education. It is not medical advice, and it does not create a practitioner–patient relationship between you and FemGlow Health or its author.

What this site is

FemGlow Health is a women’s nutrition journal written by Maryam, a clinical nutritionist. Articles explain how food, nutrients, and daily habits relate to women’s health, drawing on published research, which we cite at the foot of each article so you can read the original source yourself.

What this site is not

  • It is not a diagnosis. Symptoms described in an article may have many causes, and only a clinician who can examine you and run tests can tell you which applies to you.
  • It is not a treatment plan. Nothing here is prescribed for you personally, and no article should be used to treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
  • It is not a substitute for your own healthcare team — your doctor, dietitian, midwife, or pharmacist knows your history, medication, and lab results. This website does not.

Please speak to a professional first

Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before acting on anything you read here — and especially before changing your diet or starting, stopping, or changing the dose of any supplement or medication. This matters most if you:

  • are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding;
  • have a diagnosed condition such as PCOS, endometriosis, fibroids, thyroid disease, diabetes, anaemia, kidney or liver disease, or an eating disorder;
  • take prescription medication, which supplements can interact with;
  • are managing the nutrition of a child or an older adult.

Never ignore professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you read on this website. If you think you may be having a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.

Supplements

Where an article discusses a supplement, it describes what the available research reports — including where that evidence is weak, mixed, or preliminary. It is never a recommendation that you personally should take it. Supplements are not tested to the standard of medicines, quality varies between brands, and some carry real risks at higher doses or alongside certain medications. Dosage decisions belong with your own clinician.

How our articles are written

  • Articles are researched and written by Maryam, who holds a BSc in Nutrition & Dietetics and is completing clinical training in hormonal health and metabolic disorders. You can read her background on the About page.
  • Claims are supported by cited sources, listed under “References” at the end of each article and linked to the original publication.
  • Articles are updated when the evidence changes; the publication date is shown on every post.
  • If you believe something we have published is inaccurate, please tell us — we will review it and correct it.

Individual results vary

No outcome is promised or guaranteed. Bodies differ, and two people following the same guidance can experience very different results. Any timelines, examples, or reader stories on this site are illustrative, not a prediction of what will happen for you.

Consultations

One-to-one consultations offered through Work With Me are a separate, paid service with its own intake process. Nothing on this website forms part of that service, and reading an article does not make you a client.

External links & advertising

We link to outside sources for reference. We do not control that content and are not responsible for it. This site also displays third-party advertising; adverts are selected by the ad network, not endorsed by us, and appear clearly labelled as “Advertisement”.
